Adult Services Programs
Mission
The mission of the Adult Services Programs is to maximize self-sufficiency; to serve adults through programs that protect and prevent older and incapacitated adults from abuse, neglect, or exploitation; to prevent the inappropriate institutionalization of elderly and impaired adults; and to assist when necessary with appropriate placement.
Services Provided
Adult Services are designed to allow the adult to remain in the least restrictive setting and function as independently as possible by establishing and/or strengthening appropriate family and social support systems or by supporting the adult in self-determination. Adult services are provided to impaired adults age 18 or older, and to their families when appropriate. Adult services provides screenings for long term care services, including adult day care, assisted living facilities, companion services, nursing facility placement, and personal care services.
