Over 50,000 people call Campbell County’s 511 square miles home. The County is bordered by Lynchburg to the north and includes the Town of Altavista in the southwest and the Town of Brookneal in the southeast. It is bordered to the south by the scenic Staunton River.
Campbell County is 115 miles west of Richmond, the state capital; 200 miles southwest of Washington, DC; and 200 miles west of Norfolk. The county is included in the Lynchburg Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA).
