Keep Campbell County Beautiful
About Our Program
Launched in 2021, the Keep Campbell County Beautiful campaign is a joint endeavor with the Commonwealth of Virginia's Keep Virginia Beautiful effort to engage and unite Virginians to improve our natural and scenic environment. We believe in a shared responsibility to end littering, improve recycling and beautify communities in Virginia.
Give Us 5, Campbell
In tandem with our Keep Campbell County Beautiful awareness campaign, we are inviting our citizens to 'Give Us 5' - five feet, five minutes for five days - to help clean up areas near their homes or areas they frequent.
Our wish is that resident volunteers will be safe, but recognize their ability to lead the effort to tackle the trash that has littered our beautiful landscapes and scenic byways.
So, take the pledge! Complete our online form, and Give us 5, Campbell!
Green Teams
Since its inception, local Green Teams, consisting of volunteers who wish to help keep Campbell County clean, continue to make significant contributions to improving the aesthetic character of our community. These individuals are dedicated to maintaining Campbell County as a location of choice for residents, visitors and businesses by removing eyesores such as trash and debris from our greenways and roadways.
The Green Teams are an essential part of our efforts to help citizens maintain safe and clean communities by working alongside roadways to properly dispose of litter, trash and debris. Due to the large size and the number of major highways within Campbell County's borders, several sections are available for adoption by those interested in making a difference and helping us with this mission to end illegal dumping and combat litter.
Green Teams are free to organize weekend clean-ups with Campbell County support to help keep their communities clean and litter free. As scheduling allows, Public Works crews may assist the clean-ups by removing the bags of collected trash and litter, typically the day following the event.
If you are interested in helping our mission, sponsoring a Green Team in your neighborhood or district, or volunteering for one in action, please submit a request via the online form.
