Please be aware that on Monday, May 28, 2018, County administrative offices will be closed in observance of Memorial Day; law enforcement and public safety services will operate as usual. County offices will reopen on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at 8:30 a.m.

Memorial Day is a federal holiday for remembering the people who died while serving in the United States armed forces. The holiday, which is observed every year on the last Monday of May, was formerly known as Decoration Day and originated after the American Civil War to commemorate soldiers who died during war. By the 20th century, Memorial Day had been extended to honor all Americans who died while in service to the military.

On behalf of the Campbell County family, we hope you spend the long weekend with family and friends to celebrate the courage of our military and remember those who gave their blood, sweat, and life in the line of duty so we may live free.
