How do you give a gift that lasts a lifetime? With just 12
hours of training, a literacy tutor can be prepared to begin making a
difference in someone’s life.
Literacy Volunteers of Campbell County Public Library seeks
volunteer tutors to help adults improve basic reading skills and English
communication skills. No prior teaching experience is necessary.
An information and training session will be held on Saturday,
Jan. 7, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Rustburg Library, located at 684
Village Highway, Rustburg. Additional training will be provided on Saturday,
Jan. 21, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Your gift of time and dedication can bring a non-reader or
non-English speaker out of a world of isolation. We need volunteer tutors to
help us serve adult learners on our waiting list. As our students learn, they
develop a thirst for more knowledge.
