Campbell County Public Safety Shares Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan Draft: Public Are Encouraged to Review and Provide Feedback

RUSTBURG, VA - The Draft Central Virginia Planning District Commission Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan – 2020 Update is available for public comment.  Access the Plan at www.cvhmp.org.
 
The draft regional pre-disaster plan identifies hazards, establishes goals and objectives, and presents strategies to lesson vulnerability to property and individuals in the region.  The plan website, www.cvhmp.org, provides interactive access to vulnerability, risk, and historic data interactive maps.
 
Written comments on the Draft Central Virginia Planning District Commission Hazard Mitigation Plan – 2020 Update can be provided directly on the website at https://www.cvhmp.org/cvpdc/feedback, sent to kelly.hitchcock@cvpdc.org or to CVPDC, 828 Main St., 12^th Floor, Lynchburg, 24504 until November 30, 2020. 

The regional mitigation plan was developed through grant funding and under the guidance of Virginia Department of Emergency Management (VDEM) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
