Campbell County is offering a rabies vaccination clinic on Saturday, February 4, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Campbell County Animal Care and Control Facility, located at 322 Dennis Riddle Dr. in Rustburg.

A Republican Party Presidential Primary will be held in Campbell County on Tuesday, March 6, 2012.

Although Central Virginia has experienced a relatively mild winter in 2012, weather systems tracking through the area can produce freezing rain, snow or sleet, creating hazardous conditions in a short period of time, especially if temperatures drop rapidly. To minimize weather related risks, citizens are reminded to take several safety measures.

The Campbell County Animal Care and Control Facility will return to regular public operating hours, effective January 23, 2012. The agency will be open for pet adoptions and other public services from 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., Mondays through Fridays, and from 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays.

On Friday, January 13, the Virginia Supreme Court overturned a $9.6 million judgment in the case of Royal v. Campbell County.
