Campbell County Sheriff's Office Awards Ceremony

RUSTBURG, VA - What is the Awards Ceremony? – A system for recognizing outstanding and/or heroic performance of duty and service of members of the Campbell County Sheriff's Office. It is the policy of the Campbell County Sheriff's Office to recognize and commend employees who distinguish themselves through specific acts and/or accomplishments during performance of duty. Further, the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office recognizes that without the assistance of citizens of our community, our jobs would be more difficult to perform. With this in mind, the Sheriff’s Office will recognize citizens within our community that assisted the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office.
Types of Awards to be Presented – The following awards will be presented at the Awards Ceremony: Department Meritorious Service Award; Department Honorable Service Award; Department Distinguished Service Awards; Partnership Awards and Years of Service Awards and the retirements of Investigator Billy W. Crowe, Administrative Specialist Vicki Guthrie, Lieutenant Gerald H. Lacy, Captain Mark C. Schmitt and Lieutenant Karen J. Wilson.
Attendance / Reception / Location – Citizens, Sheriff’s Office employees and their families will be attending this awards ceremony. Frank J. Rogers, County Administrator, and members of the Campbell County Board of Supervisors, Delegate Matt Fariss and Superintendent Bobby Johnson have been invited as well.
The Awards Ceremony will be held in the Auditorium of Rustburg High School. Immediately following the ceremony, the Sheriff’s Office is sponsoring a Light Reception in the Commons Area of Rustburg High School.
