J & T WELDING AND FABRICATION EXPANSION BRINGS NEW JOBS AND INVESTMENT TO BROOKNEAL
BROOKNEAL, VA: Campbell County Economic Development is pleased to welcome J&T Welding and Fabrication to Brookneal. The company’s operations include machining, welding, and powder coating custom parts for clients of various applications which supports existing industry in the region. J & T Welding and Fabrication has been in operation for seven years at their previous headquarters in northern Pittsylvania County. After securing a large new contract, the company has entered into a major growth period and are investing $500,000 into new equipment and creating six new jobs at their new location in the Brookneal industrial building previously occupied by Sanfacon Industries. At the October 1, 2024 meeting, the Campbell County Board of Supervisors approved an incentives package totaling $8,900 based on the company’s capital investment and job creation.
“We have long term plans to continue to grow our business and offer many new services in order to help grow the job market here locally,” said owner and operator Ginger Patterson.”
The move represents a large expansion of their shop floor, moving from approximately 4,000 square feet to now occupying 24,500 square feet of the Sanfacon building’s 200,000 square feet of interior space. The larger space has given the company room to accommodate their investment in new machinery and tools.
“We just added the new Powder Coating Curing Oven as well as Powder Coating Spray Booth,” said Patterson. “In the near future, we are hoping to add a Press Brake as well as a Laser Cutter.”
The Department of Economic Development continues to market the remaining space in the building to potential tenants on the state’s database of industrial properties.
“We recognize the importance of having our large manufacturing buildings occupied,” said Nina Rezai, Director of Economic Development. “We’ve been working diligently with Mr. Sanfacon to find someone who can use this space and we are pleased to see the building put to use by this growing business while adding jobs in the Brookneal area.”
