Campbell County Parks & Rec Announces Upcoming Programs & Events

The programs and events are:

Karate

Registrations Accepted through May 6

Ages: 6 and up          

Fee: $65

Location: Tomahawk Elementary School Gym (55 Bee Drive) 

Dates/Times: Tuesdays & Thursdays; 6:30 P.M.  

The Campbell Co. Recreation Department is sponsoring the School of Karate. Students taking the classes can take a single session or they can continue on until they reach higher belt ranks.

Cornhole 

Ages: 18+

Fees: Free Games, Cash for Tournaments 

Location: William Campbell Middle School Gym (474 William Campbell Drive)

Dates/Times: Saturdays & Sundays; 1 - 6 PM

Come join us  for weekly cornhole games and tournaments! No registration necessary, just drop on in!

Youth Baton 

Registrations Accepted through June 2025. 

Ages: 4+ 

Location: Tomahawk Elementary School (55 Bee Drive) 

Dates/Times: Mondays; 6:30 - 7:30 PM

Want to learn to twirl the baton? Yellow Branch Challengers – Tee Ball

Registrations Accepted through June 19

Ages: 4+

Fees: $15

Location: Yellow Branch Elementary School Gym (377 Dennis Riddle Drive). 

Dates/Times: Thursdays; 6:00 - 8:00 PM

This is a volunteer-led program for individuals ages 4 and up who have intellectual and/or physical challenges. Everyone is welcome to come play!  Contact: Jeff Reynolds (434-942-5649) for more information or to register.

League Scholarship Donation 

If you are looking to assist a child in need to be able to play in Rec sports, then this is the area to do that. The link below will take you to the League Scholarships, where your generous contribution provides under-privileged children the opportunity to play sports. The donation options come in quarter, half, and full amounts for the league registration fees. We thank you in advance for looking to help others in need.

Rustburg Red Devils Girls Basketball Camp 2025

Registrations Accepted until June 9

Ages: 6-13

Fees: $60

Location: Rustburg High School (1671 Village Highway)

Dates/Times: June 11 - 13; 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Rustburg High School Girls Basketball Team & Campbell County Parks & Recreation would like to announce a skills driven Summer Basketball Camp!  This camp is for girls ages 6-13 and it will focus on games and drills to develop confidence. The participants will be coached by the Red Devils coaching staff, as well as their players. There will also be a t-shirt provided with the camp. All proceeds support the Rustburg Girls Basketball program.

Adult Pickleball Open Gym

Registrations is Open Until Full

Ages: 18+

Fees: FREE

Locations: Leesville Road Elementary School Gym (25 Lewis Way)

Dates/Times: Wednesdays through May 21; 6 - 8 PM 

Curious about pickleball or just getting started? Join us for beginner open gym pickleball — a relaxed, low-pressure time designed especially for new players. This is a great opportunity to learn the basics, practice your skills, and have fun on the court with others who are also starting out. 

We’ll have equipment available and staff on hand to help explain the rules and answer any questions you might have. No experience necessary — just come ready to move, laugh, and enjoy the game!

What to Expect/Do:

• Free 5 week session @ Leesville Road Elementary Gym
• A welcoming, beginner-friendly atmosphere with basic instruction and support available. 
• Paddles and balls provided (or bring your own). 
• Please wear athletic shoes and comfortable clothes.
• 15 player max slots, so signup today!
