Field Work for 2027 Real Estate Reassessment to Begin July 20, 2025

RUSTBURG, VA - On July 20, field visits will begin for Campbell County’s 2027 General Real Estate Reassessment. These are conducted every four years by state law to determine fair market value of land and properties for equitable taxing purposes. The last reassessment was in 2023. 
 
Campbell County has contracted with Wampler-Eanes Appraisal Group, LTD to conduct on-site visits of each property in the locality. Reassessment field agents will have easy-to-view identification and their vehicles will be properly marked. Photographs may be taken of some properties; however, no interior inspections are necessary. 

Appraisers will also adhere to health and safety measures if encountering any property owners during the reassessment process.  The Altavista area is slated for field work and site visits first.
