Two Campbell County Businesses Receive $5,000 Start Small Campbell Grants
RUSTBURG, VA - Campbell County Economic Development is pleased to announce the newest recipients of $5,000 Start Small Campbell Grants are ZLL Designs, LLC and Premier Supervision and Consultation, PLLC.
ZLL Designs manufactures and sells custom 3D-printed tool storage solutions and accessories. ZLL Designs plans to upgrade the electrical capacity for their “print farm” and increase the number of 3D printers.
Premier Supervision and Consultation provides clinical supervision to mental health counselors who are pursuing advanced degrees at universities across Virginia and mental health businesses that need licensed clinical supervision for their staff. Premier will be using the grant award for marketing expenses.
County Supervisor Justin Carwile of Timberlake District and County Supervisor Kenny Brown of Spring Hill District presented checks to business founders Zachary Cox of ZLL Designs and Henry Bruns of Premier Supervision and Consultation alongside Mr. Vance Driskill, Chairman of the Campbell County Industrial Development Authority at Campbell County’s Citizen Services Building on July 15, 2025.
Campbell County Economic Development created the Start Small Campbell Grant following a directive from the Board of Supervisors to increase programming for new and small businesses in the county. Since its beginning in 2021, this competitive grant program has presented a total of 11 grants to local startup and early-stage businesses who complete the required business development education and planning components.
When asked about the Start Small Campbell Grant process, Mr. Cox commented on how he appreciated seeing other past recipients continuing to participate in the classes, “it felt like they were giving back, because you learn so much from others as well as the instructors during Start Up Toolbox programs.”
Dr. Bruns of Premier Supervision and Consultation remarked that he was “amazed more people have not taken advantage of applying through the years.”
Bruns had personally learned about the grant program through his existing relationship with the Small Business Development Center (SBDC)-Lynchburg Region, which partners with Campbell County in providing business education classes and mentoring.
Campbell County offers these grants in two cycles each year. Applications may be submitted at any time and will be considered in the next available window. The Fall Cycle final deadline is October 21, 2025.
