Campbell County Sheriff's Office Make Arrest in Concord Homicide; Kenneth B Martin Charged with First Degree Murder
RUSTBURG, VA — On October 3, 2025, at approximately 1:36 p.m., the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office was requested to conduct a welfare check at 98 Riverview Lane in Concord, Virginia.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered a deceased female inside the residence. The victim was identified as 51-year-old Shannon Davis Martin.
During the course of the preliminary investigation, the Campbell County Criminal Investigations Division responded to the scene. As a result of the investigation, the victim’s husband, 54-year-old Kenneth Blaine Martin, was taken into custody. He has been charged with First-Degree Murder and transported to the Blue Ridge Regional Jail Authority (BRRJA), where he is currently being held without bond.
“This is a deeply tragic case,” said Major L.T. Guthrie of the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office. “We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family and loved ones during this most difficult time.”
