Central Virginia Crimestoppers and Area Law Enforcement Agencies Announce Sale of 'Jaws of Justice' - K9 Calendar

RUSTBURG, VA - The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), in partnership with Central Virginia Crime Stoppers, Kubota of Lynchburg, LLC, and Bee Line Transport Inc., is proud to announce the winners of the 2026 'Jaws of Justice' K9 Crimefighters of Central Virginia Calendar Contest and the official launch of calendar sales.

Over a two-week period, the public cast votes through social media engagement—including likes, shares, comments, and engagements on partner pages—to help determine which K9 teams would be featured prominently in the 2026 calendar. The contest generated strong community participation across Central Virginia.

The Top Five K9s selected through public voting are:

🏆 Top Dog (1st Place): K9 Gus — Halifax County Sheriff’s Office

🥈 2nd Place: K9 Knox — Lynchburg Police Department -  SECOND YEAR!

🥉 3rd Place: Bedford County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit

🎖️ 4th Place: K9 Zelda — Appomattox County Sheriff’s Office 

🐾 5th Place: K9 Dyson (Retired) & K9 T-Bone — Campbell County Sheriff’s Office 

While the Top Five received the highest number of votes, the calendar features all participating K9s, recognizing that each team plays a vital role in protecting the communities they serve.

The 2026 calendar proudly features K9 units from the following agencies:

  • Altavista Police Department

  • Amherst County Sheriff’s Office

  • Appomattox County Sheriff’s Office

  • Bedford County Sheriff’s Office

  • Campbell County Sheriff’s Office

  • Halifax County Sheriff’s Office

  • Liberty University Police Department

  • Lynchburg Police Department

  • Nelson County Sheriff’s Office

  • Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office

  • Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources

  • Virginia State Police

Proceeds from the 2026 Jaws of Justice K9 Crimefighters Calendar help support Crime Stoppers of Central Virginia and strengthen community partnerships throughout Central Virginia.

Calendars are available for pre-order at $15.00, with an additional $4.95 for shipping per calendar if mailed. Payments can be made securely online via PayPal.
