Campbell County Public Library System Announces Upcoming Programs & Events


The Campbell County Public Library’s events and programs are free and open to the public. All upcoming programs for children, teens, and adults can be found at https://campbellcountylibraries.org. Some are highlighted below:

Babygarten

All CCPLS locations

Winter Session: Jan. 26 – Feb. 19

Involves board books, toys, songs, rhymes, and activities that help babies with language acquisition and pre-literacy skills. For children ages 0 – 23 months and their caregivers. Registration is required. Go to the library website for dates/times and the registration link.

Tot Time

All CCPLS locations

Winter Session: Jan. 26 – Feb. 20

Involves board books, songs, and rhymes that help tots with language acquisition and pre-literacy skills. For children ages 2 – 3 years and their caregivers. Registration is required. Go to the library website for dates/times and the registration link.

Storytime

All CCPLS locations

Weekly Jan. 26 – Feb. 26

Enjoy free weekly storytimes for ages 3 – 5 and their families. Includes books, songs, rhymes, scarves, and craft and play stations. No registration required. Go to library website for schedule and locations.

Enchanted Trail

Friday, Feb. 6, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Timbrook Library

Go on a scavenger hunt in an immersive, outdoor story experience on the Timbrook Park trails. Geared toward pre-school and elementary students and their families.

Literature Lounge

Monday, Feb. 2, 3 – 4 p.m.

Campbell County Public Library in Rustburg

Join other teens and participate in fun, artsy activities after school. Hang out, grab a snack, and let your creativity shine. For ages 12 – 17.

Valentine’s Day book + art

Saturday, Feb. 14, 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Timbrook Library

Kids, teens, and families are invited to stop by and create special valentines with us. A story will be read periodically throughout the event, and all materials will be provided for two art projects inspired by the book.

Fort Night

Friday, Feb. 27, 6:30 – 8 p.m.

Campbell County Public Library in Rustburg

Work together with your family team to build a cardboard fort and defend it from library staff for an evening of fun challenges. We will provide cardboard and duct tape for forts, and you are also welcome to bring your own supplies. Registration is required through the link on the library website. For kids, teens, and families.

Slippers & Starlight Slumber Party

Friday, Feb. 20, 6 – 9 p.m.

Campbell County Public Library in Rustburg

A cozy romantasy-inspired slumber party full of magic, mischief, and delight. We will have stations set up throughout the library for activities like making friendship bracelets, photo opportunities, a Book Chat style area to talk about books read (spoilers ahead!), a scavenger hunt, and printmaking. For ages 18+. Registration is required through the link on the library website.
