Campbell County Administrative Offices Closed Tuesday, January 27 Due to Impact of Winter Storm
RUSTBURG, VA - Out of an abundance of caution, Campbell County administrative offices will be closed on Tuesday, January 27, for the safety of the public and staff due to impacts from the recent winter storm. Vital public safety and emergency services will operate on normal schedules. As road conditions in parts of the county remain hazardous, VDoT crews will continue treatment and response efforts throughout the day. Residents are strongly encouraged to stay off roadways if travel is not necessary to allow crews to safely treat roads and to ensure emergency vehicles can respond without delay. If travel is unavoidable, please keep the following safety tips in mind: - Reduce speed and increase following distance.
- Avoid sudden braking or sharp turns.
- Watch for icy bridges, overpasses, and shaded areas.
- Allow extra time to reach your destination.
- Keep an emergency kit in your vehicle, including warm clothing, water, and a fully charged phone.
Please continue to monitor local media outlets for updates. Those interested may visit www.campbellcountyva.gov to register for County notifications. Be Safe, Campbell!
