Campbell County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Vehicle Larcenies in Rainbow Forest Area


RUSTBURG, VA —  The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating multiple vehicle larcenies that have occurred in the Rainbow Forest neighborhood and surrounding area.

Investigators are working to identify a possible suspect in connection with these incidents. A photo of the individual is included with this release. The Sheriff’s Office is asking residents to review any available home security camera footage, doorbell video, or other surveillance recordings that may have captured the suspect in the area.

Anyone who may have additional video footage, information, or who recognizes the individual in the photo is encouraged to contact the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office.

In addition, the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office reminds all residents to take the following precautions to help prevent vehicle larcenies:

  • Always lock your vehicle, even when parked at home.

  • Remove valuables such as purses, wallets, cash, electronics, firearms, and keys.

  • Do not leave items in plain view, even if they appear insignificant.

  • Report suspicious activity immediately.

Residents are also encouraged to ensure exterior lighting is working properly and to consider using security cameras when possible.
