Livestock Road Convenience Center

The Livestock Road convenience center accepts bagged household waste in addition to large, bulky items. The site is located at 427 Livestock Road Rustburg, VA 24588 and is open from 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily.  A site attendant is usually on location to direct traffic and answer questions.

Permitted Items

• Bagged household waste
• Construction and demolition waste from residential improvement projects only (Must be from owner's residence located in Campbell County; no shingles are allowed, at any time.)
• Latex paint (Dried with sawdust or cat litter)
• Furniture
• Brush
• Tires
• County residents are allowed to dispose of eight (8) tires per year, in loads of up to four (4) tires at a time.
• Recyclable items
• Mixed paper, newsprint, and aluminum cans

Prohibited Items

• Regulated hazardous material
• Pesticide containers that are not cleaned, crushed, or opened
• Drums that are not emptied, cleaned, or opened
• Gas tanks and cylinders
• PCB or Dioxin containing solid waste
• Fluorescent bulbs
• Shingles (Must be taken to the Region 2000 Landfill)
• Deceased animals (Must be taken to the Region 2000 Landfill)

Commercial Refuse

• All commercial refuse, regardless of business size, must be deposited at the Region 2000 Landfill
