RUSTBURG, VA - Campbell County is pleased to announce that it is launching its new website format and logo on Wednesday, October 21, 2020.
“Our primary aim was to make frequently accessed information and features easy to locate and use,” said Sherry Harding, Director of Public and Employee Relations. “Due to COVID-19, we’re asking residents to use more of our online communications and services, and this updated site layout is designed to help them do that.”
The County has worked with CivicPlus, a leading government website provider, over recent months on the pre-scheduled five-year redesign process for www.campbellcountyva.gov (as part of the initial contract for the County’s web service). The website now has direct links to the County’s social media platforms, as well as a cleaner, easier-to-use set of features (online payments, Notify Me alerts, and quick link tabs to frequently contacted agencies in the County). A citizen feedback form through which residents can share their ideas and suggestions has also been added along with a quick view of County news items.
The County has likewise coordinated a re-branding effort in conjunction with this website update. The new site will launch the “Be Campbell – Be Welcomed, Be Successful, Be Home” logo and theme which conveys the locality’s warmth and welcoming spirit as well as its culture of supporting successful business growth.
“Campbell County is far more than a locality, it’s a place where families, businesses, and individuals can work and flourish in a welcoming, caring, and supportive environment. Our branding team recognized this attribute as one of our strongest characteristics, and made it the core element of our public brand,” Beth Worth, Campbell County Organizational and Marketing Specialist. “After months of development, our team is pleased to share it now on our updated site and we invite our residents to share with us what “being Campbell” means to them.” Just visit www.campbellcountyva.gov to convey your thoughts and sentiments of community pride through the provided link under the Community tab.
As always, residents are encouraged to sign-up for the County’s news notifications, CodeRED emergency alerts, and use the provided forms for easy Freedom of Information Act requests. If anyone has questions regarding the website, please email per@campbellcountyva.gov.
