[ARCHIVED] VDoT to Host Input Meeting on English Tavern Corridor May 20, 2024; Citizen Input Requested

VDOT Meeting

LYNCHBURG, VA - The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDoT) is seeking citizen input to improve transportation along the English Tavern Corridor along US 29; specifically the Wards Road northern intersection to the Wards Road southern intersection.  

The meeting will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hyland Heights Baptist Church, located at 11452 Wards Road, Rustburg, VA 24588.  For those unable to attend the meeting, but who desire to contribute feedback, suggestions may be submitted online at the VDOT Engagement Hub - Virginia DOT , or by contacting your Lynchburg District Representative at: lynchburginfo@vdot.virginia.gov, or (434) 947-6559.

The Lynchburg District is comprised of 10 counties and the cities of Lynchburg and Danville, which cover 5,385 square miles in the southcentral portion of Virginia and is home to approximately 425,000 people. The district is located along the eastern slope of the Blue Ridge Mountains. 

  • Counties: Amherst, Appomattox, Buckingham, Campbell, Charlotte, Cumberland, Halifax, Nelson, Pittsylvania and Prince Edward
