[ARCHIVED] Public Notice: Citizen Opportunity to Comment on Edward Byrne Justice Assistance Grant Program

RUSTBURG, VA - Campbell County Sheriff's Office is pleased to announce the allocation of $11,220 under the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program for Fiscal Year 2024. This formula grant will be dedicated to enhancing our community’s safety and law enforcement capabilities through the purchase of a Hydraulic Breaching Kit.

The Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program aims to provide vital funding to support state and local law enforcement efforts. The Hydraulic Breaching Kit will enable our first responders to efficiently and safely access secured areas during critical situations, thereby improving our ability to serve and protect the community.

In accordance with grant requirements, we are committed to ensuring community engagement and transparency. An opportunity for public comment will be held during the Board of Supervisors Meeting on December 3, 2024.
