The Campbell County Cooperative Extension Office will hold two 4-H camps this summer. Basic information about each camp is provided below. For complete information, contact Robbie Morrison at 434-332-9538 or robbiem7@vt.edu.
The Extension Office is located in the Campbell County Agriculture Building, 163 Kabler Lane, Rustburg.
Cloverbud Camp
The Cloverbud Camp, which is for children ages 5 to 8, introduces them to the 4-H camping experience. It will be held Jun 16 – 18 at the Holiday Lake 4-H Educational Center.
If you register before May 26, you get the Early Bird price of $87 per camper. The fee is $97 per camper if registration is received after May 26. The fee covers all programming fees, meals, and lodging.
A trained volunteer leader will be present for every five campers. There is no cost for trained teens and adults within the 1 to 5 ratio. If you are interested in volunteering, contact the Campbell County Cooperative Extension Office. Full price is required for those attending as a paying adult.

4-H Summer Camp
The 4-H Summer Camp will be held July 31 – Aug. 4 at the Holiday Lake 4-H Center. It is for children ages 9 to 13.
Applications will be accepted starting March 1. Early Bird fees will apply to those registrations and deposits received or postmarked by March 30. Those fees are $195 for the first child, $190 for the second child, and $185 for the third child. Additional children are charged at the same rate as a third child.
For those who register and pay the deposit after March 30, fees are $210 for the first child, $205 for the second child, and $200 for the third child. Additional children are charged at the same rate as a third child.
Fees cover all programming fees, meals, lodging, T-shirt, and transportation from Rustburg High School.
The payment schedule is the following: $55 is due at registration for the Early Bird registrants (no later than March 30); $70 is due at registration for all others; $70 payment is due by April 8; and $70 (balance) is due by May 13. No refunds will be given after June 3. Payment may be made in full at any time.
The Extension Office is normally open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For your convenience, the office will be open on Saturday, March 8, 8 – 10 a.m., and will hold extended office hours until 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 30.
Examples of class that may be offered at the camp include the following: animal science, archery, arts and crafts, canoeing, filmmaking, low ropes, theatrical arts, sports, riflery, and nature and forestry.
Class selections will be filled in order of those completing registration, making their deposit, and submitting the 4-H Camp Class Form.
