Does your water come from a well, spring, or cistern? Do you want to learn more about the quality of your water? If so, consider participating in the Virginia Household Water Quality Program sponsored by Virginia Cooperative Extension.

The program works as follows:
• You will pick up your sampling kit and receive sampling instructions from the Campbell County Cooperative Extension Office between Monday, Oct. 23 and Friday, Oct. 27. The office is located at 163 Kabler Lane, Rustburg.
• You will drop off your water sample on Wednesday, Nov. 1, from 7:30 – 9 a.m. at the Extension Office.
• An interpretation-of-data meeting will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 29, at 3 p.m. at the Extension Office. If you cannot attend, we will mail you your results.

Space is limited and pre-registration is required by Friday, Oct. 27.

The cost is $55 per sample. The cost pays for your testing kit and the analysis to be completed on your water sample.

If you would like more information about this water testing program and if you would like to obtain a registration form, call the Extension Office at 434-332-9538 or email Todd Scott at todds08@vt.edu.
