[ARCHIVED] Campbell County Economic Development Seeks Community Input with New CEDS Survey

RUSTBURG, VA - Phoenix Advantage, the consulting group hired to guide Campbell County’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) update process, is conducting an online survey for members of the community. The survey will help provide guidance on the future priorities of the county’s Economic Development Department.

This 10-question survey is quick and confidential, with only Phoenix Advantage employees having direct access to the submissions. Anyone who lives or works in Campbell County is invited to participate. The survey will remain open for one month and can be accessed at phoenixadvantage.com/Campbell-county-ceds-survey.

Phoenix Advantage will integrate data gathered from this survey with feedback from focus groups, stakeholder interviews and more to produce a series of recommendations to Campbell County later this year.

“We want our eventual strategic plan to accurately reflect the values and expectations of the Campbell County community,” says Nina Rezai, Director of Economic Development. “Maintaining community engagement and garnering as much feedback as possible is a priority during this phase of the project.”

The survey’s launch coincides with a three-day in-person visit from Phoenix Advantage’s Miles Friedman and Michelle Coe. During this trip, the consultants held a focus group among the small business community in Altavista and later convened the first meeting of the project’s advisory committee.

The advisory committee offered feedback to the information the consultants gather and provide guidance throughout the project. The committee is comprised of a variety of individuals in our community that represent small and large business with fields ranging from banking and real estate to dining, industrial services and public resources.

A link to the community survey and progress updates on the CEDS process are currently available online at CampbellVirginia.com/CEDS.
