Campbell County Service Update:
The Campbell County Public Works team has been working continually since Sunday morning to clear access points to vital services and facilities.
Snow and Ice Removal
- The Public Works team has been working continually since Sunday morning to clear access points to vital services and facilities.
- At this time, the focus remains on clearing parking areas and primary walkways to buildings. Please be advised that other secondary walkways, sidewalks along Carden Lane and Route 24 in the County complex are a lesser priority, as the crew strives to keep main vehicle and pedestrian paths clean.
- Please also note that the parking lot in front of the Citizen Services Building continues to freeze, as there is limited sunlight in that area. Please use extreme caution when approaching parking lots and entry ways, as black ice remains a concern in these freezing temperatures.
Services and Business Processes
- Campbell County Community Development has postponed all building/field inspections until road conditions improve.
- Management Services AP batch processing will be delayed until next week, with invoices due by noon on February 4, 2026.
Many Thanks!
- We commend and applaud our outstanding Public Works crew who have worked diligently in extreme conditions to keep County operations moving forward during this winter storm. We also thank and commend our valiant Public Safety teams, who without complaint or any lapse in service, all reported bravely for duty in the midst of hazardous weather to help those in emergency situations. We thank these teams for being excellent examples of dedication and service, and for doing a fantastic job in keeping your fellow employees and our residents safe!
Staff and residents' patience and support are encouraged as our teams continue to work throughout the week toward keeping primary service areas safe and clear in these frigid conditions.
