Randall Johnson serves as the Deputy Director/Fire Marshal. Randall is
the Fire Official for fire code enforcement and is also responsible for
cause and origin investigations for fires occurring within the county.
He holds certification as Fire Officer II, Instructor II, Inspector
1031, and Investigator 1033. Randall is responsible for overseeing the
day to day operations and administration of the fire division with eight
volunteer fire departments in the county.
Randall is
originally from Chesapeake, VA and began his fire service career in
college with the Farmville Vol. Fire Department (1998-2006). Randall
has worked for Longwood University as the Environmental Health and
Safety Officer (2001-2005) and most recently as a firefighter with the
City of Lynchburg Fire Department (2005-2010).
Randall lives in Concord with his wife and daughter.
